The strong growth in emerging Asian economies and the Singapore government’s drive to export Singapore companies overseas are positive factors that dovetail into our growth plan.
Geography is not an obstacle to our business model as refurbishment and repair work of oil rigs and drilling ships can be performed anywhere with proper wharf facilities. Vietnam, India and Malaysia are ideal markets to drive our growth phase as we have existing operating bases and representative offices to support the local teams.
Our model of using a Specialist team from Singapore, together with technology and knowledge transfer, enables us to efficiently maintain control over the sovereignty of all projects and attend fully to the needs of our clients simultaneously.
In Vietnam we have entered into a Joint Venture agreement with experienced local partners to acquire a strategic piece of waterfront land to build a fabrication and a marine offshore base yard. The development work is scheduled to commence in January 2016 and business will commence by end-2016.
In India we have an existing yard operating in Mumbai. Strategically, we plan to expand into the greater India market.
In Malaysia, we are currently operating on an ad hoc basis to service our international customers with support from Singapore.
